Lomography came to me during a very difficult time in my life. I had just broken up with a girl I was with for seven years a lot of friendships on the verge of being ripped apart. My family had just migrated to a different country miles away and had to reestablish themselves all over again. Lastly, I was to live my life completely alone suddenly charged with a truck load of uncertainty and responsibilities to fulfill.

Hooray for the Holidays! Don’t you just wish it lasted for a little longer? Well, why don’t you join us as we celebrate a Lomographic Christmas, Russian-style! As you know, the Lomography community traces its roots from Russia – the majestic place where our beloved Lomo LC-A was created. The Russians celebrate the season on the 6th January, so that means we’ll be extending the Holiday festivities both in the Lomography Stores and online until 6th January 2009! My Lomo story started a long time ago when I saw the Actionsampler in a magazine, but it was only abstract to me at the time. I was not sure that a plastic camera could work well, so I did not decide to buy it right then. Then I searched and learned about all Lomographic cameras to make sure that they were not toys. About two years later, my abstractness became existence.
