Another change of seasons is upon us. Whether you're walking around a college campus, the backstreets of your small town, or a misty forest at dusk, the LC-A+ is always ready to spring to action, even in the Fall. This month, we've teamed the LC-A+ with some truly special partners to make a spectacular Dream Team. We're also happy to give you a free roll of one of the best films in the world, Ilford's pinnacle of black & white films - SFX 200 when you buy an LC-A+ or Wide Angle Lens. And we're going back to school with the latest batch of Lomo Amigos who all have one thing in common - they were interns for Lomography!
-
The greatest constant in the photographic world has always been black & white film. From fine grain to dynamic contrast and heart-wrenching tones, black & white is the choice for time-spanning, emotional photography. And what better way to capture your timeless autumnal adventures than in full-frame 20mm super-wide angle with the greatest accessory ever produced for the LC-A+, the Wide Angle lens.

For this rumble, we're asking you for your best self-portraits using a cable release.

MissKhali, aka Caroline Merklen (or Karotte for friends) is actually much more than a friend to me! As my girlfriend, but also as my initiator to the mysteries of Xpro and plastic lenses, she was the one I wanted to ask a few question and let you know a bit more about! Let me introduce you my Lomo guru, "MissKhali":http://www.lomohomes.com/MissKhali!

Here's another issue of my very personal weekly choice of film. Last weekend we were blessed with the best weather in weeks so I seized the opportunity and took my Yashica and a hand full of carefully selected film with me in the autumn sun.

The "Lomo Lubitel 166+":http://www.lomography.com/lubitel+/ is a remarkably versatile camera. With the right film, some patience, and a cable release, you can pretty much shoot in any conditions, and not even be limited to one possible option to get the right exposure. Because of the multitude of possible settings, you can shoot long exposures at f-stop 16 or even 22 for great depth of field, or even shorten your exposure a bit at a smaller f-stop and take portraits in any light. The Lubitel+ doesn't mind, because it puts complete control in your hands in every way.

"Drudolph":http://beta.lomography.com/homes/drudolph the last runner up to the Lubitel Lovers rumble explains why using a Lubitel is really not that hard. "It is called "amateur" for a reason."

I found my first lubitel on ebay. She came from Ukraine and had the lovely name 166. Shipping cost more than the camera herself. She arrived and I saw she’d been used before. Some parts were a bit broken or missing. I shot a few rolls, always thinking about the shoot from the hip rule and have not been looking through the viewfinder.
