One thing is for sure - time flies! The day we started looking for the perfect 'house' feels like yesterday. But right now we are only 7 nights away from the Grand Opening of the Lomography Gallery Store Amsterdam! Here we go - blogpost #3 in the serie. Enjoy!
Yes, we are still on schedule. The renovation is nearly done and all the woodwork shines like crazy!
The painters did a very good job and now it’s time for us to start finishing up the store. Hopla – painters move out of the house and take their doggies with them :).
Our HQs in Vienna send an architect over to build op all panels and displays, so we can place all the products right on their spots. Christof – the architect – is a cool guy, works his ass off and really loves pictures.
In the meantime our construction partners are busy hanging PAR lights on the ceiling, while we are eating cheesy sandwiches on in front of the store and drinking coffee from our lovely neighbor Noortje.
The first very big job of setting up the inventory of the store obviously was the LomoWall. Thousands of pictures were submitted during the Amsterdam LomoWall Competition and right now the wall is done! Check Marloes and Willem being very concentrated carefully placing the panels cm by cm:
The next few days we will finalize the store with product placing, cleaning etc. And most important – getting ready for the Grand Opening Party. We really look forward to this important and unique day and would love to see you next week too! Are you planning to come? Please R.S.V.P. by sending us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will put you on the guest list. Doors will open at 20h!
Alrighty, back to work. Because there is still plenty of work to do…
Lomografische groetjes straight from the 9 streets,
Team Lomography the Netherlands
