Hua Hin, Thailand: A Seaside Paradise

5

Why Hua Hin? Because you'll fall in love with it at first sight.

Hua Hin, a seaside town lying on the Gulf of Thailand is a unique place. Fusing Thai culture with nature, the atmosphere there is perfect for your lomo camera. Whether it be a wide-angled shot of the 5-mile long beach or a fisheye snapshot of the Fish Market, every corner of this town was built for lomographers.

A trip to Hua Hin without a visit to the Night Market just isn’t right! Opening every night, hundreds of stalls line the street serving delicious local treats and selling local handicrafts.

Don’t forget to pack your underwater gear for those wet banana boat snapshots! A ride normally costs 1000 baht ($33) but it’s okay to haggle with the locals – even the locals do it!

Already getting wet? Why not head down to the Pa La-u Waterfall 60 kilometres out of town. Surrounded by forests, rare birds, and butterflies can be found here.

Hua Hin is only a couple of hours from Bangkok by car and only a bit longer by train so getting to Hua Hin isn’t a problem. It even has an airport!

Best Lomography Spots: Hua Hin Beach (don’t forget sunrise!), Hua Hin Night Market, Suan Sri Night Market, Pa La-u Waterfall, Hua Hin Jazz Festival (August)
