Kodak bw400CN (35mm, 400 iso) user-review

Honestly I have to say, I became a fan of this film by incident. First of all I was not really a big fan of Black/White before - I always liked the shots that I saw on magazines but mine never really turned out that nice.

First of all I was not really a big fan of Black/White before – I always liked the shots that I saw on magazines but mine never really turned out that nice.

Anyway, there was this night when I shot a concert of a good friends’ band. After the show was over we hang out in the backstage room and the only film that was left was this Kodak B/W. I thought by myself – better then nothing and load it into my camera. The good thing with this film is that you can process it in any cheapo drug store around the corner because it works with C41 process.

So, I received the B/W pics as fast as my color prints and when I opened the envelope and had a first look, I really liked them.

The fine grain gives a little bit extra vintage feeling to the shots. From now on I will always keep one of these in my camera bag but now it´s not only the last choice for me.

Looks like "real" b&w. I never managed to get such a look with this film. Need to give it another try...

    Nice pix!!

I love this film, some places that develop mine get cool tones like your shots, and other places they're warm and brownish instead of blue.
