We here at the Lomography Community are a very diverse bunch don't you think? From Europe, North America, all the way to Asia, we just continue to grow, grow, and grow by the minute. While we thank you awesome people for sharing our love for all things analogue, sometimes being too diverse can lead us...lost in translation?
To remedy this, we’ve developed various micro-sites to cater to specific countries so that even non-English speakers can join in our Lomography fun. This way, more people can contribute to our different sections and can share their own experiences, tips, and news about Lomography and beyond.
Still, we’d love to make your Lomography experience better, so in order to share the wealth…erm…spread the word, we’d like to ask your help with our article translations. If you’ve got pretty good English skills then why not put it into good use and help us out?
If you’re interested to do translations for us, here’s a list of what we need you to do:
- Must be able to translate articles from local language to English and vice versa.
- Must be able to come up with original articles
- Must be able to submit articles with a given time frame
- Translators locally based in Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and China
Users based elsewhere but are also well versed in their local language of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Thai can apply.
- Example: Japanese user based in the US or Korean user based in Thai
Sounds like something you’d like to do? Learn more about the benefits of being a special admin user, just leave a comment and we’ll get back to you.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys! (Note: This will be tested out first with Asian communities before bringing it out to the rest of the sites.)
