I recently visited Kuala Lumpur for a holiday, and I loved it! Aside from the popular tourist must-sees like the Petronas and Menara Towers and the Detaran Merdeka, it is a tourist must to visit all the shops around (if you have time). Kuala Lumpur is a shopping heaven. It's a good place for bargaining - especially for electronics.
It’s a good place for bargaining – especially for electronics.
But if you don’t have much time, and you are up to bargain-hunting, the way to go is Jalan Petaling or Petaling Street in Chinatown. There are loads of things to buy and to eat! Imitation designer handbags, clothes, shoes and even Rolex watches are all around! Just be prepared to haggle, and to haggle well. Food is really cheap too, and varies from the exotic, to the usual, spicy to extra spicy! For as low as 5 Malaysian ringgit, your stomach would already be bursting with food! At night, the street transforms into a merry mix of chaos, the street becomes alive with more people and shops. It is definitely a sight to see and experience!
Singapore, like Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, is a likely stopover when you fly far. The city is a tiny urbanized hub but it's very favorable if you know some high-spirited locals. I was lucky to hook up with king kimbo (@hakimbo), who showed me around. He took my lame limbs to the Gardens by the Bay, an amazing place which was visually striking. I was hugging some artificial trees there when I found a baby—a very big baby.

When a photographer encounters a pair, an instinct rushes in, "Is this a special, intimate moment I just stumbled on?" Or else, those accidents of two objects, two birds, two swaying plants camping together especially for your photo. This might not be the case, but it's still a pleasant thing for patterns and quirks to find their way into an everyday shot.

This article is a tribute to the street and humanist photographer Sabine Weiss. Considered a living legend in street photography, she likes to photograph daily lives of people, trying to capture the emotions she recognizes around her. Weiss like to photograph people of all ages but she especially loves to take photos of children, masterfully immortalizing their spontaneous gestures and emotions. For this article, I was inspired by one of her rare sports photos of some children practicing judo. Do you want to know more about this great artist? Well, read on!
