100% Analogue Typography!

Can you think of any technique more analogue than chalk on blackboard? Who hasn't ever written on a blackboard? Who hasn't ever thrown a piece of chalk? But, have you ever made a real piece of art on the board? There's one girl in New York City who always creates artwork on blackboards, check it out! I bet you'll like it.

Yesterday I discovered this amazing typography artist and I think you are going to like her work as much as I do, so here you are: Dana Tanamachi

She is a graphic designer and custom chalk letterer, yes, custom chalk letterer. What is that? Check it out:

Isn’t it brilliant? As you can read on her site, “after hours, Dana moonlights as a custom chalk letterer, creating large-scale chalk installations in New York City. She also applies her chalk lettering to a wide variety of uses for publications, packaging, and apparel. She enjoys crafting, reading, walking, and especially listening to country music from the 1990s”, sounds analogue, eh?
