Let's rock! Everybody, let's rock! We're celebrating Elvis Week, and to honor the King of Rock 'N Roll, we take a step back - way back to 1957 - with the movie "Jailhouse Rock."
Who doesn’t know Elvis Presley? Grunting, sighing and shaking his hips as he crooned into the microphone, The King had the girls swooning and the boys idolizing his swagger. His striking good looks, high baritone vocal range, and famous knee wobble easily made him an All-American cultural icon.
Besides making hit records, Elvis Presley also dabbled in film, one of which is Jailhouse Rock – a musical film directed by Richard Thorpe. He plays an ex-convict who made it big in the music business. As mentioned in the trailer – “Here’s an Elvis Presley you’ve never seen before!”
