It was a Friday night, and we were head-banging in Zouk Club!
It was a Friday night and the last weekend of the month when I went to catch my favorite band, I Am David Sparkle perform. They’re one of Singapore’s local bands, and one of the pioneers of the instrumental post-rock scene here.
They performed for an event called Metal Stargazer in Zouk Club Singapore. The event was curated by phunkstudio legend Alvin Tan, who transformed its landscape into an environment infused with red as the theme color. I Am David Sparkle played all their songs from their latest album Sword. Four of them dressed up in robes (inspired by Sunn O perhaps) on a separate podium, while the drummer was on the main stage. I can say that it’s an interactive performance as metal related motion graphics or animation content were ‘flashed’ throughout the show, along with distorted riffs and power chords.

I went to the Victoria & Albert Museum's Friday Late, an event that takes place every last Friday evening of the month. For March 2014, the London borough of Tottenham was invited to curate an evening of creativity. There were a number of events that went on ranging from music and art to fashion and film. Accompanied by my LC-A+ and Fisheye No. 2, here are my highlights of that evening in photographs.
We love our cameras. We especially love it when you love our cameras. And we get super pumped when you tell us about it. So when the LC-A 120 got a stunning review from the fellas at The Phoblographer, we were giddy with delight! Not only did they give it a killer, in-depth review, but they also bestowed it with a 5/5 rating and Editor's Choice award! Read on for a little taste of the review and then head to their site to read the whole thing!
Bop your heads to the tune of the feel-good track by German band Torpus & the Art Directors, "Two Hearts," off their newest album, "The Dawn Chorus," which was released just last Friday! In this interview, band members and self-confessed Lomography and analog photography fans Melf and Sönke reveal to us behind-the-scene details on making the video.
The skies were busy with magic today — or maybe it was just the solar eclipse that caused all that ruckus? Decked out in space-age goggles and other various sun viewing paraphernalia, groups of people gathered as the moon moved between the sun and the earth this morning across Europe. Only a few lucky folks witnessed the total eclipse, and here at Vienna HQ, the greatest moment of the partial eclipse happened at 10:45 A.M. and lasted only a few minutes. We stopped everything we were doing to join the sky watchers crew and share in this astonishing moment. Check out these brilliant solar-inspired shots to celebrate the occasion!

Mulholland Drive is what sunny dreams and nightmares would look like in the hands of a Surrealist. In this edition of Friday Movie Flashback, we unravel the psychological pyrotechnics of Cannes-winning director David Lynch.
We recently had the opportunity to chat with founder and editor of AlternativePhotography.com, Malin Fabbri, and we are pleased to now share it with you! Our goal was to better understand the inner workings of the Alternative Photography community and its formation, as well as get a sneak peek into the life of its founder. Malin was generous in sharing her knowledge, wisdom and history and we are grateful for it, as we're certain you will be also!
We had a staggering 1110 entries to this rumble. We have picked our way through all of them and were very inspired by the quality of all your photos! It was a real challenge narrowing it down to just 3 winners. Find out who won this great competition.
