Bay of Villefranche

The bay of Villefranche and the peninsula of Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat on the Cote d'Azur, between Nice and Monaco are beautiful places to see the sun going down. The wide Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains give you a marvelous calm and peaceful place were many colours are mixed together. Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat is a peninsula, so one side is on the east and the other on the west, thus you can go there early in the morning to see the sun rising, and in the evening on the other side to see the sun setting. The colours are stronger and different when the sun is setting, but that's only my personal opinion... ;)

A perfect place to swim (it’s my favourite beach in the summer) to relax and to walk, watching the sea and the sky….and make pictures of course! Really calm and fascinating lomo-spot! To go there, just take the coast road from Nice to Monaco, you’ll see quickly the indication “Villefranche” and “Saint Jean Cap Ferrat”. Follow the direction “Saint Jean cap Ferrat” and you’ll come on the west side of the peninsula. Follow one or another road going right to the coast and you’ll be there! Just walk in the direction towards south, you can make the whole tour west-east on foot :) See the pics!
