Welcome to the second edition of “doubles with you” our newest feature to the magazine. In case you missed it last week “doubles with you” is meant to bring the wonderful doubles of Lomographers from around the world into the spotlight! Every now and then we will publish the best collaborations from all corners of the world as submitted by you, the community. Now for the first reportage we have some LC-A doubles taken in New York and the United Arab Emirates by two of our most active community members, this is what they had to say:
“This series of swaps was done by myself (”xbalboax“:http:beta.lomography.com/homes/xbalboax ) and hind . We both used our beloved LC-A cameras and Fuji Sensia 100 ISO. She shot first setting the LC-A to 200 and taking photos from the United Arab Emirates. She then rewound the film and sent it to me in New York. I loaded my LC-A set it to 200 ISO and started shooting. The results of this set of swaps has to be one of my fav set of swaps that I have done. The marriage of these 2 different worlds on to this one roll of slide film is just something words can not describe. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do.”

Ever since light painting was invented, it inspired artists from all around the globe to magical creations that capture hidden movements and reinvent the world we live in. "Life is a fairy tale, stay wild little child!" is what they want to tell us. Bringing light to life became the next challenge for anyone rigged with a film camera and a creative mind.
Now, how can you take your analogue light paintings from the ordinary to the outstanding? After the carriage came the car, so we definitely need some spacy inventions to follow the old school light pen. So here it is, our new best friend: The Pixelstick!
We asked some of New York’s hottest designers to lend their talent in designing some of our La Sardina DIY cameras, and we are very excited to introduce Marc Scheff. It looks like it’s time to get out the cameras and pack your bags. Together with the Shift School Dresden, we offered amazing prizes, including an insider trip to Paris, where you can take part in photography courses and visit the world-famous Paris Photo Tradeshow. Of course, there’s also a ton of Lomography prizes at stake like cameras, accessories and film so that the winner can capture memories from the trip on film. And now to announce the winners!
We asked some of New York’s hottest designers to lend their talent in designing some of our La Sardina DIY cameras, and we are very excited to share with you the masterpiece of Simone Legno from tokidoki! Simone Legno is the creative director and co-founder of tokidoki, which stands for "sometimes" in Japanese. He chose this word because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person.”
