In this weeks “Doubles With You” we feature two of the most active members of the Lomographic community – Vicuna and mephisto19 and show you the best of their many collaborations. For those of you that missed us last week, “Doubles With You” is our new weekly feature where we showcase the best of doubles collaborations of the past week.

New to doubles? Don’t worry, we are sure that there are plenty of other Lomographers out there that are just as anxious as you to start shooting some doubles! Simple leave a message in the comments if you are looking for a partner and somebody will probably answer!

If you want to be featured next week then simply submit your best double collaboration to the blog Be sure to send in at least 10 photos, a short text about who took the pictures, where and with which camera/film combination.

This is what Vicuna had to say about his collaboration with mephisto19

“As one of the most active and productive members of the lomo-community, mephisto19 was one of the first to make doubles with me. We tried together very different films and cameras combinations, always to explore a bit further the limits of double exposition and try out new things.

From the classic LCA double, to Horizon, Diana, half-frame cameras or very recently the Lubitel166+, we produced together no less than 8 double exposed films…. and it’s surely not finished, we have a lot of other combinations to explore!! :)) Everytime, there’s smething new and surprising coming out of the films, and we never fixed any theme or subject, it’s always a very free association: nobody of us 2 knows what’s on the film and the most exciting moment is to discover the developped film. And it’s always the unexpected and unpredictable thing that comes out the best!

Here’s a little selection of some of our shots! :)

Anyway, thanks Stephan to be such a great doubles partner! :))"

Herein is the first of his series that chronicles his adventures, highlighted by a selection of breathtaking images of the Sri Lankan countryside and the locals, among many other images, captured with his trusty photographic companions: the Leica MP, Lomo LC-A+, and an assortment of films including the LomoChrome Purple.
