Fun with the 10 m Cable Release

6

Most of you will know this: you have millions of pictures, but when you are searching one of yourself, then there are maybe only one or two self-portraits in the mirror -- and that's it. I really liked it, when I got the cable release with the LC-A+, and felt that I need more!

Not sure if it is the same 10m (33ft) Cable Release as you can buy it in the Lomography Store, but it works the same way. You press the air into the cable, and the stick for the shutter comes out at the other side.

There are now endless possibilities about taking pictures with this accessory, I started with a little photo shoot with my girl. We were having a holiday weekend at the sea. I placed the LC-A+ on a Gorillapod, and started having fun!

It’s nice to come back after a holiday and having pictures with both of us on them!

Another idea, which I didn’t yet realize, is, to shoot animals that you normally can’t get close enough to. For example, placing the camera with a tripod in front of a birdhouse, and when a bird flies in, take a very close-up picture!

Unfortunately, my cable release is not working together with the Diana Cable Release Collar because the screw thread has a different diameter. But I will just fix it with some tape, and then also use it with my beloved Diana!

I bought a shutter release cable for my beautiful diana but everytime I push it the stick that comes out jams and stays out. This is fine on 1/60 but on bulb setting it ruins my photos. Have you had this problem before? Your photos are great by the way, the jumping shot really shows the benefit of a 10m cable!

I had the same problem: I think it's a feature of the cable release. You have to turn it on the side where the stick comes out.
And thanks for the nice comment ^_^

Wicked pictures! I wondered why someone would go for this over the smaller (cheaper) one and now I know! I really like your photos... looks like a good holiday!

Lomography Redscale XR 50-200 120: Perfect for Endless Multiple Exposures!

About two years ago or so, I purchased the Lomography Redscale XR 50-200. I saved just one roll of this film and waited for the right moment to shoot with it. In April this year, I just wasn't able to take it anymore! I loaded this film into my Lubitel 166+, which I realized I hadn't used for maybe about six months. One idea came to mind: taking crazy multiple exposures!

The Magic Yet To Come: Part 5

Last week, I received the strangest thing through my letterbox. It was a postcard with this photograph on 1 side. The photo is of me sitting by the sea whilst I was on vacation last year. But I have literally no idea who took this shot – That’s why I came here, to ask for your help on my search for my mysterious photographer and to try and get to bottom of the riddle they wrote me. Please help me if you can!
