The Queen's Four Eyes: The Supersampler

Action is everywhere! Cool moves and stunning poses...want to capture them all? You must need a camera which is good at it, a camera called the SuperSampler!

The Lomography SuperSampler, from its name you know that it is really good at sampling. It is a multi-lensed camera with 4 lenses, each capturing one frame. It is well known as the queen of multi-lensed cameras. The SuperSampler is really suitable for capturing fast action and movement consecutively in 4 frames. This cannot be done by other single shot cameras.

The SuperSampler is the first Lomography camera I bought from here. Its features and appearance attract me a lot and I couldn’t help but to get one! I have been shooting a few rolls with it and am always pleased with the results! Seriously, who can be not pleased when seeing a 4 frame shot?!

The SuperSampler uses a a ripcord to advance the film. It seems easy to use but it is actually harder than you think. The ripcord may stuck half way sometimes if you pull it too fast. Just like what people call it, it is the QUEEN of multi-lensed cameras. You have to treat it like a queen when you pull the ripcord. Pull it down slowly and gently until it is fully pulled out. In this way, the queen will be nice with you!

The SuperSampler also has 2 different speeds to choose from: 2 seconds and 0.2 second. Normally, the 2 second speed will be used because 0.2 second is just too fast to capture ordinary movement! Unless you are trying to take photos of lightning fast action.

Most people would ask how do they aim with this camera when they first got it in hand. Honestly, the viewfinder is rather useless. But that is what makes it so fun! Apply the rule “Don’t Think, Just Shoot!” and you’ll be unleashing all the excitement it can bring you! The camera can really capture your subject when you just point to its direction without aiming precisely. You do not have to worry for capturing the wrong thing.

But besides shooting action and movement, the SuperSampler can also shoot really cool panoramic photos! All you need to do is to swipe your SuperSampler when shooting to get the panoramic view! The 4 frames may not match exactly but that is what make it special!

There is one thing that all SuperSampler users have to bear in mind is that, this queen here loves sunlight a lot. I mean A LOT! Take her out to the outdoor so that she can embrace the sunlight and present to you her capability! This is also why SuperSampler is so popular during summer.

And with the MiniMovie feature in, you can make your action shots even more real! Jumping and running and rolling around is more lively than ever!

This camera here may not be the best in taking sharp and detailed photos, but it has its unique personality. The SuperSampler is a camera which tells a story with its 4 frames, each frame related to the next, portraying something a single photo can never tell. It is a great camera, a happiness provider.

The SuperSampler, the queen of multilensed cameras, is now in bright blue. It takes four sequential panoramic shots on a single, action-packed 35mm photo. See all SuperSampler colours and designs in our Shop!
