Lomography Lomo Walk on 11th June started in heavy rains and ended in a minor flood. But then we think it was the best Lomowalk ever!
Lomography India had arranged a Lomowalk on 11th June in Mumbai, called “The Monsoon Lomowalk”. But we had no idea that it would rain so much that out of 8 participants, only 4 would be able to come (as the rest were stuck in flooded areas!)
So we were joined by Deepa Kamat, Prashin Jagger, Kunal Bhatia and Magali Caira Vaz in the rain with their umbrellas opposite VT. It was raining continuously but armed with Lomography Sprocket Rocket, Diana Mini, Diana F+ and LC-Wide and flashes, we shot and shot and shot!
We all got drenched but the cameras did great even in such low light.
Thank you all for participating and producing such great photos! And all those who missed the walk, don’t worry, we shall be having another Monsoon LomoWalk very soon.
When she was first featured on the Magazine in 2011, Mary Robinson's natural talent for photography was already evident. Her images made an impression on the Lomography Community even back then. Her work has evolved in the span of four years, but its quaint beauty remains.
It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.

London based photographer Cat Stevens uses the softer, more subtle aesthetics of film photography throughout her work. Her shoots consist of the familiar light leaks and washed out tones that most film shooters will be familiar with. She has photographed artists such as Deerhunter, PJ Harvey and recently took a series of sun drenched beach shots which adorned The Charlatans' last album cover titled "Modern Nature."
