Big Big cheers, beers and cake as we celebrate with the graduates from the first ever class of the School of Lomography!!!
‘What the hell is Lomography?’ they all cried as the first students entered the lomo hub, all anticipating the world of analogue goodness that stood in front of them.
A month after learning and playing with a selection of Lomographic cameras (Sprocket Rockets, DianaF+, the Lubitel and of course the LC-A+) plus a whole range of films and film types, the students came in store to finally receive recognition for a job well done!
As a final project for the course, the students were asked to present to us their very own Lomowalls that they created made up of images shot from the various cameras throughout the lessons. There were film swaps, home-made redscales, square shots, sprockety shots, flipped shots, cross processed shots…the possibilities they learned were endless and it all showed on their Lomowall work-of-art!
The proud students were joined by their family and friends and had a chance to show off their favourite photo from the course, blown up and mounted on the wall!
We had the cutest guest come along to give his daddy a big kiss and squeal when he accepted his diploma.
We all gathered together to enjoy a glass of wine and toast each student with their accomplishment. They shared with us what they loved about the school, which camera they enjoyed the most and what they learned from the experience. They were all presented with their very own, very official diploma awarded to them by Lomography Soho Store manager and headmistress of The School of Lomography, Liana / golfpunkgirl .
School rocks – and this time we really mean it – especially when there is a specially made School of Lomography chocolate cake at the end of it all.
Congratulations to our very first (and very lovely) School of Lomography, Class of 2011!
