Whitechapel Gallery

If you find yourself in the East End be sure to check out the Whitechapel Gallery.

Founded in 1901, the Whitechapel Gallery has become a staple in the East End, most notably for its work in the local community and for acting as a showcase for some of the UK’s most respected artists.

The gallery has played host to exhibitions for artists such as Picasso, Rothko, Nan Goldin, Jackson Pollack and Gilbert & George to name a few.

The Whitechapel Gallery is located on Whitechapel High Street and is a few minutes’ walk away from Aldgate and Aldgate East tube stations.
