We had a chat with LomoAmigo and Hong Kong music video director Heison Ng to see what he's been up to. We found out that he recently went to Paris and Barcelona, armed with the New Russar+ Lens on a Sony A7 camera. His verdict? Watch the video after the cut to find out.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
This is your last chance to participate in the exciting series of free classes hosted by Skillshare and Lomography, as well as participate in our rumble! Discover the full potential of your Lomography cameras through these classes and stand a chance to win a Diana Deluxe Kit and a full year of premium membership at Skillshare!
Did you miss watching analog movies crafted by our fellow lomographers? Fret not because in this recap, we rounded up the LomoKino movies that caught the community's attention last month. So, grab your bowl of popcorn and refill those soda glasses. The movie marathon is about to start!
Between Lomography and Skillshare there are a lot of talented people. Our latest LomoGuru is a portrait photographer from Rosario, Argentina who's also passionate about bookbinding and lettering. She took an active interest in these creative outlets to balance out the rigidness of her engineering classes. Let's get to know our fellow lomographer, Rocío Méndez, in this interview.
Not knowing exactly how to do deal with its odd appearance, Nadica first regarded the Lubitel 166B as a complete monstrosity. She left it untouched on her shelf for months after receiving it as a gift. After using other Lomo cameras and getting familiar with the rules on exposure, she finally had the courage to test it. Find out what made stacy_mcpommes fall in love with the Lubitel 166B in this installment of Weapon of Choice!
Did you enjoy shooting with Cine200 Tungsten Film when it launched? Or were you one of the unlucky many who missed out on this ultra-limited edition emulsion? Well, we’re thrilled to say we have an exciting follow-up to Cine200 which will launch in just a few days! And as the other film sold out so fast, we wanted to give you the opportunity to sign-up to our list to get the news as soon as it happens.
Joel Byron is a long-time fan of Lomography and uses analog methods in his work at his video and film production agency BigPlus. Back in 2010 he painstakingly put together the Lomography Caterpillar Matrix video which had over 60,000 hits! We lent Joel a Petzval lens and asked him to capture some video footage of London. The results were pretty stunning.
In case you missed it, Lomography has just unveiled the latest member of its Art Lens family: the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens, which boasts of the same optics that the legendary LC-A camera has and brings the classic Lomographic style not only to analog but also to the digital platform. Over the next few days we'll be sharing with you the first impressions of and photographs taken by members of the Lomography team, who had gone out and put the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 to the test. First up is graphic designer Andrea Cislaghi, who coupled this lens with the Bessa R2 and Sony Alpha 7.
