Here you can read the report of a LOMO day at Rotterdam on the 7th of May. It was a lovely, sunny day, and we really enjoyed it!
Because we weren’t able to join the lomowalks in The Netherlands which were organized before, we thought: let’s organize one by ourselves! So we picked a date and we spread the word on Facebook and Lomography.com. We were a little anxious that we would be the only ones to show up but fortunately, we were not alone! Lomography is alive in Holland! :D There were around 12 people waiting for us. OK, we admit, some of them were from the Analog Photo Collective, but HEY! Let the Lomowalk begin!
The location this time was…: Rotterdam!! In photography magazine Zoom, Rotterdam is called the #1 hot spot for photographers, so we were curious. Maybe you can make your own decision about that #1 position after you have seen our pictures.
We were so lucky that Saturday: the weather was beautiful. It was hot! We started with drinks at Café Engels (at a great viewpoint) and telling each other about our cameras and our experiences with LOMO. Afterwards we were ready to walk around in Rotterdam. Luckily we had a number of “locals” with us. Via the Witte de Withstreet and the Museumpark we walked to the Euromast, we relaxed in the park and off course we couldn’t miss the Erasmusbrug. It was a very nice day, so thanks to everybody who joined us and we hope to see you again at the next meeting!
About a year ago, we introduced the Konstruktor to the world, and the little do-it-yourself camera has left us in awe ever since. Even the Viennese blogger, Fräulein Catherine (Miss Catherine), was keen on our 35mm SLR camera that you can build yourself, and she took on the DIY challenge. Here you can read more about the feat.
Need a break from a hot day walking around the city in Budapest? Why don't you visit the Széchenyi baths situated at the City Park and enjoy the warm thermal waters in beautiful surroundings? If you are up for it, you can play a game of chess, too, while enjoying yourself at one of the outdoor pools.
Here at Lomography, we don’t only deliver the fantastic goodies, but we also try to provide you with the wisdom you’ll need on your lomo adventures. We gave you the 10 Golden Rules, didn’t we, and it has bestowed you with a cred and attitude hat lomographers are admired for. In celebration of the Lomo-LC-A’s 30th Anniversary, we are proud to present the Lomo LC-A-to-Z, brought to you by Professor Lomo van Graphy. Watch and learn!
Here’s a random and rather mysterious tale for you folks. Just the other day, I was at a local bar with a few friends. It was much like any other evening; we were sipping a couple of cocktails, recounting our adventures, falling over ourselves with laughter and half-drunkenly meditating on the meaning of life (a scientist once told me it’s 42 by the way). But then something truly strange happened. Read on to hear my story and please make a comment with your guess at the end!

We love our cameras. We especially love it when you love our cameras. And we get super pumped when you tell us about it. So when the LC-A 120 got a stunning review from the fellas at The Phoblographer, we were giddy with delight! Not only did they give it a killer, in-depth review, but they also bestowed it with a 5/5 rating and Editor's Choice award! Read on for a little taste of the review and then head to their site to read the whole thing!
Everybody loves a cup of tea to start the day. Meanwhile, we lomographers love to do little photo sessions to start our day. Both are really fun, but a wise person once said that we should try to combine two of our favorite things sometimes and see how it comes out. So, here we go!
If you love to craft or design things yourself, you can draw a lot of inspiration from these two creative women. You may have already stumbled upon Sophie and Catharina on the web, be it at hello handmade, workisnotajob, superwork, supercraft or their youngest project, lemon books.
Where do I begin? Believe me, I know many places in Bandung. From a cozy cafe to where the famous street food and maybe even drinks can be found, to places for lomowalks, it would be my pleasure to show you all around Bandung - the city I love and the city of love!
