The Short Film Corner is the meeting point for all the people interested in the short films. Every year, this corner of the Cannes Film Festival people meeting and exchanging with industry professionnals, as well as helping the young guns to step into the world of movie making.
A whole wall is entirely dedicated to show people every short film that is in Cannes this year. The most important thing is to have a poster or a flyer catchy enough to make a producer stop by your short film, which proves how important photography is, even in the movie industry…
Another wall is dedicated to all the actors and actresses you can see in these short films, and some other who are available to figure in short films. These actors just leave a picture of themselves and their info if you’re interested in having them acting in your short film. Here again, the choice of your portrait is crucial, as it might be a turning point for the career of a young actor or actress !
Despite all the feature films that stay on top of everything during 15 days, short films are definitely needed for the movie industry (especially for the young directors who want to start their career, the short film is sometimes the only way to make it), as well as for the audience who can discover talented people they wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. We really hope that beautiful projects have been realized here in Cannes, which is the center of the movie industry during these 2 weeks of Festival !

Unfortunately, it happens sometimes that your resulting pictures are not what you expected - the image doesn't look that good, the colors are bland, and the subject is banal. Indeed, it couldn't be picture of the year! Herein I propose a second chance for your pictures by modifying your 35mm negatives. Just pick up some ideas from here, experiment, and scan your negatives with the Lomography Smartphone Scanner. Anything is possible: burning, scratching, putting on hydrochloric acid, balsamic vinegar, nail polish, bleach, or raspberry juice... use your imagination and write down your new film soup recipe!
