Don't know what to do this summer? How about following the Carters Steam on their annual tour? You'll definitely get to see some fantastic shows.
The Carters Steam Fair was created by John Carter in 1976. John Carter loved to collect vintage rides, games, and arcade. The caravans from the fair are also vintage. There’s a lot of fun attractions (some of them dates back to the early twentieth century) such as The Wall of Death, Lost Ark, Octopus, Paramount Chairoplane, Rock & Roll Dodgems, and the Victory Dive Bomber.
You might have already seen the fair in movies such as The Krays, The End of the Affair, and 28 Weeks Later.
The Carters Steam Fair travels all over the UK, you can find the fair at West Wycombe this weekend.
Don’t forget to stop by the candy floss machine while you’re there.
I went there when it was in Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith and had a lot of fun getting there:
There's nothing more satisfying than taking fantastic photos with a camera that you built yourself. If you've always wanted to impress your friends with your mad DIY skills, pick up a Konstruktor Camera Kit and show them what you've got! It's also a cool way to get them into Lomography, because as you build the camera you'll discover how analogue photography works. Oh, and the Konstruktor takes gorgeous photos, too - check out the gallery and see what we mean!

You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!

What exactly do I feel while waiting for my Lomo'Instant photos to be developed? I have to say I get a mix of "Surprise me, dear Lomo!" but also some "Did I capture it as I wanted?" kind of thought. No matter the school of thought, with the Splitzer you can add so many cool effects to your photos you'll definitely embrace it!
There is nothing better than a photo shot at the perfect moment. Henri Cartier-Bresson's principle on "The Decisive Moment" is a principle that we should still follow to this day. A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.
You are probably already familiar with our German Petzval LomoAmigo Steffen Böttcher, aka Stilpirat. He recently released his very first audio book about his adventures as photographer, "Abenteuer Fotografie," featuring the beautiful Petzval lens on the cover. Through this competition, our German-speaking community gets the chance to win three of his audio books as well as his photo book about Ghana. So what do you need to do? Show us your lomographic adventures!
Do the photographs in our community often leave you tongue-tied? You can still let your fellow lomographer know how much you appreciate their work by clicking the "Like" button. No matter how simple, this gesture can inspire anyone to go on with their analogue adventure. Here are the top photo likers of 2014.
Alternative folk act Bear's Den is set to embark on a UK tour to promote the album "Islands," which was released in October 2014. But before going on tour, the British trio, composed of Andrew Davie (vocals, guitar), Kevin Jones (vocals, drums) and Joey Haynes (vocals, banjo), captured some of their summer memories on film with the Sprocket Rocket.
In 2009, Neil Krug uploaded a commercial for Pulp Art Book on Youtube. In the comments section someone asked, “Does anyone know what kind of camera he uses or how he gets his pictures to look the way they do?” Krug was on to something. He did something wildly intriguing, one that looked to have a secret formula.
