Halloween International Monsters - Hong Kong

If you are lucky enough – you get to Hong Kong sooner or later. But if you are really lucky, you’ll discover the Halloween celebration just in the day you are there!

So, in Hong Kong, in the most multicultural megapolis I’ve ever seen since now, in the very place where East emerges with West we’ve had a chance to be a part of one of the really big Halloween celebration: crowds of creatively masqueraded people made their HUUUUUGE parade from Central MTR (i.e. “metro”) station to Lan Kwai Fong (one of the most active local nightlife centers). It was nearly 4 o’Clock in the morning, when we’ve crossed the tunnel to Kowloon and finally got to our hostel.

Being not prepared enough to get my own costume I’ve over shooted all around, so shut off the light, start with a ketchup and a plastic knife to get some ideas before buying a flying tickets to the next year Halloween Hong Kong celebration :)

    Abandoned Spaces by Alex Luyckx

Budding photographers are everywhere, but not everyone can excel in the craft using both analogue and digital mediums. When you look at Alex Luyckx’s body of work, however, you realize that there masterfully skilled and gifted people out there who can shoot staggering regardless of what camera or what medium there is. And if that wasn't fascinating enough, this talented gentleman with an obvious devotion for film also develops and prints his own images.

Film Experiments: In The Dark - The True Analogue Experiment

Throwing chemicals, fire, and scratching emulsion are just a few ways of experimenting with film. But there's another process that completely destroys it (or, if you're lucky, creates something amazing), that is as spastic as a drunken man staggering his way home after a night at the pub - literally. And it all comes down to darkness.

Win Tickets to see Finding Vivian Maier documentary!

If you are a true photography fan you would have heard of Vivian Maier, a mysterious nanny who took over 100,000 photographs that were hidden in storage lockers and discovered by chance decades later. We are offering one lucky person a pair of tickets to see it at the Curzon Victoria in London on July 24th. Grab your chance to win tickets after the jump.
