We have hardly had any rain in april this year (in Germany), but we've got so many flowers anyway.
I love the smell of spring. I guess it’s because of the flowers. They are just about everywhere now . When I walk through my hometown I see flowers in front yards, in back yards, on balconies, flower beds are along the streets, so many trees and bushes are in flower … I love it!
I take photos of flowers at any place, and when I forget to bring my camera, sometimes I pick one and take it home with me (put it into a vase and take a picture).
I love taking flower-photos with my Diana Multi Pinhole Operator. It’s my favourite camera anyway. I’m really into this time-consuming “work”. It demands so much patience and accuracy from you. My first results were really undelightful, but I’m getting there more and more (with every roll of film).
A few weeks ago I bought myself a Fisheye Lens for my Diana Edelweiss. I find it beautiful to have a wonderful flower in front, surrounded by a blurred and round picture in the background. The key is to get real close to that flower so it fills most of the picture with its beautiness and bright colours.
After my fancy spring flowers are the most beautiful ones as they are so bright & intense in colour, I simply am in love with them!!! :-)

In the wake of the news that Microsoft no longer supports the Windows XP operating system, people have started to look back at the serene photograph that became iconic for adorning computer screens around the world. Les Bleus may have been booted out of the World Cup by Germany, but for me France is always a winner. The number of places to go around Paris, especially, can never be exhausted: the Eiffel Tower, Sacré Cœur, the Seine, the Arc de Triomphe, and this time, I fell in love with the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise.

Although already equipped with a degree in Photography, Justin Quinnell got into pinhole photography a little over a decade ago, when he became the Head of Photography while teaching in a college in Bristol, United Kingdom, a time when "one person would have a fully manual Zenith B beside another with a fully automatic camera. " We've had interviews with Justin in the Magazine through the years, and one thing hasn't changed: his enthusiasm for pinhole photography.
In April of this year I had the chance to test the Petzval Lens and to write a review on it for the German photography forum Kwerfeldein. The lens excited me from the very beginning, at the time it was introduced on Kickstarter. I was afraid that once I had tested the lens, I would want to have one of my own! Well, that’s what happened; a year later, I finally bought my very own Petzval lens.
