Viewfinder, and film counter! Well no any markings for half or square.

i agree with @albishim .. and maybe this is picture from top of this thing.. camera!?

This has to be 120 film format. It has a marking in red at '12' which would typically suggest 12 6x6cm frames and 16 6x4.5cm

Film frame maxing at 12 does not make it 120. Look at the Sprocket Rocket and the Spinner 360. Lomo's design tendencies in the last few years have tended toward a preference for wide, wide, wide. The Spinner, Sprocket Rocket and LC-W show that. This is 35mm as sure as the day is long. My guess? It shoots across three frames.

yeah, a new fixed shutter/aperture 35mm camera. many analog cameras have markings at the 12 / 24 / 36 th frame, that's nothing new or nothing to indicate 120 film.
I don't think it's a camera that shoots across 3 frames. They have just released the sprocket rocket which shoots across 2. 3 frames for one picture would be too much, in my opinion.
And Diana Mini / LC-A+, all cameras just show every 3rd number on the counter, because of space reasons.
I'm really courious what the new camera is gonna be.

I think that the thing on top is a very telescope like view finder (hence the nautical theme) and I think it might be a multilens camera based on the coke can hint

i think its a waterproof 35mm film kamera, maybe a fisheye, because of the fisheyepromotion in the last week

  18. clickiemcpete

No question, it's a waterproof camera or a wateproof housing for a camera.

  19. arabrab
    arabrab ·

There is already a waterproof housing for the fisheye camera, so it won't be that, maybe housing for another camera, or a waterproof camera, that would be awesome! Is that even possible? im excited!

An underwater (or weather proof) fisheye range finder 35mm camera...just a guess.

Well. It's not anything to do with 120 film I can say that. So no Diana or Holga accessories sadly. But I am currious as to whether or nor it's underwater or just utilizing a fisheye. The crack on the back of it makes me think its not waterproof. But I can't imagine what else they would be doing with a fisheye.

medium format version of sprocket rocket or a Lomo version of a panoramic liek the x-pan camera? That could be fun.

  39. j_rad

It's not an underwater cam. There are exposed screws there that would rust in no time. Plus, there are no rubber seals. And it's not for 120; They'd just use a traditional 12/16 window for that. The viewfinder has ridges, I'd be willing to bet it's a know that turns or adjusts (telescope focusing, anyone?)

Because modern Lomographic cameras take their design cues from older cams it is safe bet that this is the inspiration for the new cam. Look at the shape of the viewfinder and the shape of the viewfinder on the new piece. Also, look at the nickname this camera had.

That reminds me Agfa Clik viewfinder. Number 12 is red; could it shoot in both formats? Whatever... in 3 days we´ll get the answer !

  46. j_rad
    j_rad ·

Very nice, Brian. Looks like a winner; Too bad the camera's bright red, it'd have a lot more charm if it actually looked like a Sardine can; It'd give it kind of a spy/hidden cam feel.

Like j_rad said, might be a 35mm Camera with ZOOM-Lens ?? Not waterproof, but useful like a telescope!!
