Lomography and Dance Track Magazine would like to present the ‘Dance’ Competition. A competition specially created for Lomographers and the lovers of dance. Now start dancing and start shooting those photos!

Lomography and Dance Track Magazine have joined forces to give our loyal Lomographers a chance to win some fabulous prizes. Dance Track Magazine is a quarterly publication dedicated to showcasing dance and to create opportunities for even more dance. It focuses on dancing, choreography and the art of movement.

Now, let’s get to business. We want your Lomographic take on dancing. Show us the best dance moves that can be taken on camera. We want to see every type of dance from break dancing to ballet to salsa. We want to feel the movement of the body through the photos. So start dancing and take those photos.

Let’s talk about prizing!

One Grand Prize Winner will receive:
• 1 Lomography Spinner 360 camera
• A Subscription to Dance Track Magazine
• A Digital Subscription to Dance Track Magazine
• The winning photo to be published on Dance Track Magazine

2 Runner up winners, will each receive:
• 1 Lomography Diana Mini camera
• A Subscription to Dance Track Magazine
• A Digital Subscription to Dance Track Magazine
• The winning photo to be published on Dance Track Magazine

7 Honorable mentions, will each receive:
• A Subscription to Dance Track Magazine

The deadline is short! The competition closes June 3rd, 2011. That means you’ve got less than 4 weeks to get inspired by the movement of dance. So get shooting and start uploading!

There are a few conditions before submitting your photos:
You can only submit 10 images (so pick your best!)
All photos must be taken with an analogue camera (no Photoshop)!
Remember to submit your photos no later than June 3rd!

Good Luck!

    Kyoto in a Heartbeat

Like a cluster of cherry blossoms, the temples in Kyoto can stop visitors in their tracks. These people assume the pose of a statue, a camera dangling from their neck and hands. On a first visit especially, the impulse to photograph every angle is constant. The Kinkaku-ji Temple and the torii-lined Fushimi Inari-Taisha are always packed; one would think the tourists would hurry along. But really, many are busy taking snatches of Kyoto with them.
