This year Pinhole Day is on 24th of April, so many analogue photography lovers all over the world celebrate this important event in their own special way. One of them is Associazione Culturale Ars Imago Fotografia who has made Rome the center of pinhole photography organizing a 9 day event of pinhole madness!
Every year, the last Sunday of April is Pinhole Day. It’s a magical day of soft focus and wide view amazing photographs which analogue photography lovers celebrate every year with exhibitions, workshops and contests. This year, WPPD made a very long list of this sort of events which take place all over the world (here http://www.pinholeday.org/events/ you can find a list of all the important events).
One of the most important is “Pinhole Days”, organized by the Ars Imago Photografia Cultural Association in Italy. The event lasts 9 days, from 15 to 23 of April and is held in Rome. It is a really big event featuring workshops, presentations and a contest.
Apart from these, two very interesting exhibitions have been organized with pinhole shots. One entitled “Concrete Landscapes” done by Asier Gogortza who initiated a project to transform old war bunkers in pinhole cameras, giving them an artistic purpose.
The other is a group exhibition featuring Asier Gogortza, Luca Baldassari, Francesco Capponi, Jeremy Cherfas, Lucy Clink, Gianluca Perrone and Samuel Small. Here are some representative photographs of these amazing artists.
The event is held here:
Citta della Altra Economia, blocco M1
Largo Dino Frisullo, Campo Boario
