TESCO – single use, waterproof camera

As we know... lomography was based on cheap or simply, compact toy cameras, So...why not to try one! Here is my review of TESCO single use waterproof camera!

About 2 years ago, me and my crew were travelling to Bulgaria for a summer trip. You know, that kind of holidays where you just eat, swim in the sea and make some pictures of course!
For this time, I bought a single use tesco waterproof camera to memorize our good time on the beach! It was about 5 € and I was ready to go, along with my LCA

The camera itself is a classic point-and-shoot camera which has a waterproof case. It is a focus free plastic camera. You can only expose and reel to a next frame. It is a single use camera which means, after exposing all the 27 pictures, you have to break the case (it means its no more waterproof) and pull your film out from the camera. I tried to hack it, inserting another film in it, but with no success at all. It was loaded with no-name 100iso film wich means it is suitable for outdoor, sunny weather photography to snap some of your beach activities like swimming, sunbathing or simply exploring the sea-life

I did not shot under the water because it was not so clean enough to do so. But I rather bring this type of camera to the water than my lca without the „CRAB“. My brother shot a roll (actually the term shot-a-camera is more suitable in this case, heh) in a aqua land with this camera, so if you want to see some of my brother´s shots, here you are:

- single use camera
- 27 exposures
- waterproof case
- focus free
- without flash (!)
- loaded with 100iso film
- nice wide angle lens
- cheaper than cheap

I like the snaps very much. They have such a dreamy look. Nice colors too. It was worth to buy this cam for 5 EUR! I will try this camera next time again.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.

My 2015 resolution is to do 12 photography projects, one for every month. In July, I tried freelensing or unscrewing the lens from my SLR and holding it in front of the camera body. By tilting the lens slightly I was able to change the focus. For this experiment, I used my Konstruktor and Olympus OM-1.

It's late October in Copenhagen and summer was well and truly behind us. With the nights drawing in, the chances of going out with one of my cameras was slim. All was not lost at this time of year, however, as it allowed me time to focus on my own personal music projects—I am a professional composer/musician and audio engineer at my own studio by day.

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!
