Epcot at Walt Disney World!

1

This year for spring break, my band toured Orlando. One of our stops, and probably my favorite, was Epcot at Walt Disney World.

Pictured above is the giant Epcot ball. This is the first thing you will see upon nearing the park entrance. While it is impressive to look at, the attraction inside is less than phenomenal. Save that one for later in the day, when your feet hurt from walking around or the rain drives everyone indoors.

In my opinion, the most interesting and entertaining section in the park are the pavilions that surround the lake. All of these pavilions have a different theme, each mimicking the culture of a certain country. Countries that are represented include Canada, China, Japan, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Germany, France, and the U.K.

While Epcot doesn’t have as many rides as the other parks at Disney World, the few it does have are great. Test Track and Mission Space are my personal favorites.

From Russia with Love: Motorama Shoots with the La Sardina Splendour

I don't know many bands from Russia but one that I've been admiring for years is Motorama from Rostov-on-Don. With catchy tunes and adorable videos, they took my heart by storm and that of fans from all over the world. Because of their Russian origin, Motorama is of course familiar with Lomo products. Reason enough to let them become our latest LomoAmigos! Enjoy the interview with singer Vlad and check out their B&W photos, taken with a La Sardina Splendour.

    Finally, My Own Petzval Lens

In April of this year I had the chance to test the Petzval Lens and to write a review on it for the German photography forum Kwerfeldein. The lens excited me from the very beginning, at the time it was introduced on Kickstarter. I was afraid that once I had tested the lens, I would want to have one of my own! Well, that’s what happened; a year later, I finally bought my very own Petzval lens.

    Object of My Affection: Subbuteo

In my early adolescence, I liked to play table football. For my 12th birthday, my parents gifted me with a wonderful Subbuteo table soccer game set that I had wished for many months! This was my favorite toy until I discovered other interesting hobbies, like ham radio and electronics. So after some years, I gave away this game to other kids. I always remembered this game with pleasure and a hint of nostalgia.

INmusic Festival is my favorite music festival in the world. But as it turned out, lots of other people have discovered it, too. They said 75,000 people attended the festival this year, which was like the number of attendees for the two previous years combined.

    Analog By Nature

It's late October in Copenhagen and summer was well and truly behind us. With the nights drawing in, the chances of going out with one of my cameras was slim. All was not lost at this time of year, however, as it allowed me time to focus on my own personal music projects—I am a professional composer/musician and audio engineer at my own studio by day.

12 Months, 12 Projects: March Of Caffenol

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. March was for caffenol. You have probably heard of the amazing fact that you can develop black and white photos with coffee, sodium, and vitamin C. I had tried this before but with less than stellar results. Somehow, there's always something going wrong. Time to devote a few rolls to caffenol to finally get the hang of it.

The World, According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.

Summer Hot Spots: Blaavand, Denmark (Part Two)

When I was a child, I regularly went to Blaavand, located at the Danish west coast, with my brothers and parents. I stopped going there as I grew up. In 2012 however, we hit the road again. It was my first return visit in about 20 years. I took the chance and packed as many cameras as possible into my luggage. In part two of my journey log, I'm going to show you the pictures I took with my Lomography cameras.
