Even with My Wheat Allergy I Can't Resist this Brick Lane Beigel Bakery

2

Hot Salt Beef and the finest, Jewish Beigels (before they went all American on us).

This is the very first and the most popular beigel shop in…well, anywhere. It’s open 24 hours as well – so there’s no excuse to not check it out. I don’t want to ramble on too much here but I just want to simply tell you that if freshly-toasted beigels sound good to you, and then if you add fresh, hot, salt beef (because even if you don’t want to, you have to) then you must come here. 159 Brick Lane – that’s all you need to know – now go!

HAHA! I had one of their Beigel's today so yummy, even without the salt beef. Try cream cheese and fried Salmon OMG! I was going to do this as a location as well pipped at the post ; )

this place makes the best cheesecake in the world!!! I've never found anything like it elsewhere. The pieces are small, but it's very good and you couldn't eat a big piece anyway, especially after a beigel :D

Happenings on Film: At the Start of the Tour of Lombardy with My Fed 3

This month, after waiting for three years, my city Como hosted the Tour of Lombardy, an important event in the male elite road cycling tour. With my Fed 3 loaded with black and white film and equipped with ultra sharp Industar 50/3.5 lens, I documented the parade of cyclists who went to the starting line after they registered. Take a look after the jump!

A Salute to the Masters: R.I.P. (A Tribute to George Krause)

This article is dedicated to the multifaceted American photographer George Krause and to his series depicting funeral monuments realized between 1962 and 1963. I was able to know about this series thanks to an important essay on photography written by former Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Director of Photography, John Szarkowski. For this tribute, I loaded my trusty Praktica camera with a roll of Ilford film and took a series of photos in the Monumental Cemetery in my city, Como. Take a look!

Lomography Fisheye No.2: Seven Years of Wonder

Exactly seven years ago, I bought this camera from Indonesia's local Lomography community. I remember having some savings in my bank account and just spending it all on this camera. At that time, I browsed the microsite for the Lomography Fisheye No.2 and immediately fell in love with it! Coincidentally, my friend who introduced me to Lomography just bought this same camera for his birthday. My life has changed ever since I had the Fisheye, my first lomographic camera.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.

Some city-based parents feel wistful when they see their kids huddled in front of screens. There is nostalgia for tree climbing, hopscotch and bicycling. And why must children of today spend all their free time playing with zeroes and ones? This black and white gallery will inspire you to get the little ones out and about even just for the weekend.

My New York City Bike Ride Through Purple Eyes

What do you do when you don't have much time in a city like New York but you want to see everything, feel the vibe and be part of the community, even for a short time? Jump on a bike and enjoy what trains, buses and cabs can never give you: be part of the city. Take a camera with you to capture the moments and sights you don't want to forget. I did this with my LC-A 120 and LomoChrome Purple film.
