What do the 10 Prophecies represent? On Thursday March 31st, LGS Toronto threw a slamming in-store concert that captured the essence what the analogue future is all about: excitement, surprise, nuance, authenticity and good ol’ fun!
Lomography Gallery Store Toronto ain’t no ordinary camera shop; it’s a thriving artist’s hub channelling the creative spirit of the Queen Street West district. On Thursday night, we proved just that with our 10 Prophecies Showcase. From harmonica-slinging folk troubadour Steve Gleason to post-rock/avante-jazz quartet Make Your Exit, the talent came early and by the sweet, musical dollop. Lomographers, bloggers, and local cool cats alike dropped in to enjoy the tunes, imbibe the free drinks and indulge in our mouth-watering 10 Prophecies cake.
Bravestation got rumps ashakin’ with their angular synth-rock, while Invasions closed the night off with their acoustic garage-blues bliss. The sounds were authentic, organic and Auto-Tune free. Good vibes spread around like a wildfire; so much so that when the music was over and done with, the audience didn’t want to leave. That’s no sweat for us; LGS Toronto is your creative home base. Swing by anytime you want to turn on, tune in and unplug.
