Having dug about in Grandparents' attics, rummaged through old drawers and "borrowed" from family albums, I have found some fantastic old shots from way back when.
Although I love the act of finding a gorgeous photo album and spending hours arranging my photos, I’m guilty of putting them on a shelf and for them to gather dust.
This is why I thought it would be good to air this album of “Golden Oldies” – when the summers seemed to last forever & your only worry was what ice cream to pick when Tony came singing round the corner in his van. Back then, life was analogue and it was great!
It was a cold and cloudy winter day in 2012 when I came up with the idea of compiling photographs of people's faces. I decided that the most personal way to do it is through instant shots. They are one of a kind and you immediately have something in your hands.
Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.
I’d only heard rumors of the Magic Tree. I had no idea if they were true and, honestly, I’m still half disbelieving of it despite the story I’m about to tell you. If you have faith in what I say, I’m grateful. If you don’t, I bear no ill will towards you. But either way, please shout out in the comments what secrets or sophistries you think I found through its twisting branches.
I have good memories of Tagaytay Highlands. There had been times when some of my friends and I would spend the weekend there, playing all sorts of sports and having our bodies healed in the warm and lapping jacuzzi pool. But those were distant memories. I was able to go back to this place, but only for an afternoon, and tried to remember the good old days.

Mogwai are a Scottish post-rock band who formed way back in 1995. Last year they released "Rave Tapes," their eighth studio album, and have been touring intensively over the last 12 months. They took the LC-Wide to Japan and chatted with us about the world of Mogwai.
Having a professional photographer in the family paved a way for Bill to start taking interest in photography early on. In this interview, he shares more about how he discovered the community and his passion for shooting analog. Let's all welcome our newcomer of the week from USA, billseye!
I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!
The fashion industry mourns the loss of iconic designer Oscar de la Renta, who died on October 20 at 82 years old from complications due to cancer. From being an art student in Madrid, an apprentice for renowned Spanish couturier Cristobal Balenciaga to designing for Lanvin and Balmain, eventually launching his own fashion label and dressing up some of the world's most famous and beautiful women, de la Renta's legacy echoes through his timeless, feminine, and elegant designs.
I want to share with you my experience with some slides when I was in Russia. I'm very sorry for them because I messed them up. They're just ruined and they'll never be the same! But hey, I have thousands of them, so I guess it's not a big deal after all.
