Scooterworks on Lower Marsh captured with the LC-A and Fujifilm Natura on a sunny day.
Scooterworks Bar and Cafe has to be one of the best coffee places in London.
Scooterworks is owned by Craig O’Dwyer, a New Zealand scooter and coffee machine collector. It used to be a scooter and parts shop, after the staff served their customers coffee from an Italian 1957 Faema espresso machine, customers were more interested in the coffee than the scooter and parts shop. That’s how Scooterworks became a bar and cafe.
As you go in you can’t help but feel like you’ve just walked into Italy, with vintage coffee machines, a Vespa and a cat really gives the place an authentic feel. Although they don’t serve meals they do sell pastries and you can bring your own food if you wish to do so. Out of all the drinks I would recommend their heart-shaped latte .
They even have a yard where you can go enjoy your drinks when it’s sunny. As you walk out of the shop you might even get free shoes:
Also, don’t forget to put a tip for the cat in the jar. ;-) It’s really easy to get here by Tube, just stop at Waterloo Station.
It’s a 2-minute walk to 132 Lower Marsh, South Bank, SE1 7AE. If you see those shops then you’re on the right street :
It’s open from Monday to Thursday 10am-11pm, Fri & Sat 10am possibly until midnight.
