Win rare vinyl, t-shirts and Lomography cameras as Lomography team up with Multi-instrumentalist and producer Bibio on the Bokeh project.
The idea of bokeh (the blurred or unfocussed points of light in an image) is infused throughout Bibio’s kaleidoscopic new album – particularly in the sound and artwork. In his own words; “I’m a lover of photography so I discovered the word bokeh through a photographer friend. The word sounded unusual in itself which attracted me, but I liked the idea of applying its context to something other than photography, such as psychology or just mental perception in general. I’ve always loved seeing bokeh in films, like the intro in Taxi Driver.”
Bibio (aka Stephen Wilkinson)’s Lomography collaboration starts with a series of his shots using Lomography’s Diana F+ camera and equipment which you can see in his LomoAmigo article. He’s also written a tipster on how to achieve the bokeh effect on film.
There is also the chance to win an amazing bundle of prizes from Bibio and Lomography in the bokeh rumble, including rare Bibio vinyl, t-shirts and cameras. Bibio himself will select the winning photographs from all of the entries.
Finally, we are pleased to be able to offer ‘Excuses’, a track from the forthcoming album for free download.
