I know you are a hard working person, your lifestyle is very active with a lack of leisure. Please tell us more about what you are interested in these days and what you did this summer.
Oh, yes you are right.. These days I’m really hardworking :) I’m ending school now – Academy of fine Arts here in Bratislava – I’m studying there painting, so waiting for me Diploma. And I was preparing my bigger exhibition..It’s called INSOMNIA..But sorry no lomo… But You can see some pictures from vernissage here:
Through the summer I was just painting, taking pictures, looking around at some music festivals, working, drinking, painting… ?!
How did you get analog? Do you see some interference between painting and Lomography? Do you have some philosophy of making pictures?
I really love the feeling of Lomo picures: blur, colour, slide films – it reminds me some painting techniques– that’s why maybe I’m very interested in Lomography. Philosophy? – Dont Think! ;) But I have found some interesting subjects and objects in last time – it inspired me – and one day in the future I will try to more expand Lomo in my life…
Everyone has its lomostory. What is yours about?
I was reading the articles in one magazine, and have found one about the LCA camera … I decided I must have it and try it … and then I started to be like in madness! The luck was I have found LCA (in that time I didnt know anything about other Lomo cameras…) in the bazarshop in Bratislava. It was in 2001-2002 I think and I still feel adherence to LCA. And last year I get Fisheye and now clack-clack-clack-clack, the Supersampler.
Yes, you have a new supersampler, the haiku pocketmachine. Your dog loves it. Do you plan some nice trip with both? Do you have some imaginary picture you would like to take with sampler?
My doggy really loves making pictures of herself. She started to be crazy. She knows it! We are making some trips for swim. The best is when she gets out of the water – the shaking: sampler moment. And on imaginary picture I’m still working!
I also created a special flash-comix about her. You can see it here: http://www.fudziko.olique.sk/
I know much about Bratislava but you are the one who lives there. What is Bratislava about today? Pubs, concerts, people, Lomo, colors, architecture, atmosphere…? Your favs?
Oh yes, this month, november – is a MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY here!
You can visit a lot of exhibitions, vernissages, workshops in Bratislava, check it out: ==http://www.sedf.sk/default.aspx?c=20==
I’m also giving some help there with realization.
Many of your pictures are taken at night. Are you a bat-kinda? Is your insomnia serious?
Hehe – I was waiting this question!
So, maybe :) Through the day You are at work, or You must do some devoirs, examples, study, or what else – and just at night – You can start to do YOUR STUFF – and be with yourself, or go out, have fun a little, to relax or drink a beer … At night city starts to live and shine, and I like it – when lights are turning on.
What cameras or techniques you are dreaming about? Is your future analog?
For sure. I’m still learning and experimenting. For next I must try Holga! I admire the dreamy pictures it makes, warm colours, soft tones, retro feelings, or on the other side, the rough noisy effects, contrasts… its an appeal.
You also must have a cooochy-cooo picture in your portfolio which you are proud of …
Hmmm, I have more pictures that I’m proud of, don’t know: I get high from my the last one LCA roll + tunnelvision + colorflash. But I think every picture is unique … should be!
If you could have a chance to choice the rendezvous, you would pick between the handsome guy which does not give a shit about Lomography and between the solitude status, what would you do, heheh?
No problem – I will convince him!
Someone would like to have a Lomo camera which would also splash some water on the faces of objects of the shooting. What is your idea of the funniest camera? Do you have some design tips? Inspire Lomography.
I like Lomography design. And I love special editions – like the last for Diana. More lavish, more unique, more original, more analogue.
Hm… maybe some camera, which is “anticrumbling”, with a strong or gum casing. You could put the long special cable release on it and circle and fling it to on ground and nothing would happened to the camera. Maybe it could give some psycho interesting pictures.
