Are you ready to go Back to the Future? Take a ride with Marty McFly as you go back in time. Make sure you have your Lomo cameras with you before you go though!
Great Scott! This month’s LomoMission entails rummaging through old photos and finding matching outfits. Inspired by Irina Werning's amazing art project Back to the Future we have come up with our latest LomoMission! Of course we want everything analogue so please no digital shots! If you’re ready to submit your shots, just make a diptych using Photoshop, GIMP, or other programs. For the funniest and most inventive photo, the prize of a Sprocket Rocket awaits while Piggies go to the runners-up! So get your creative juices flowing and take a trip down memory lane!
Just to be clear, what we are looking for in this mission is that you find an old picture and recreate it as well as possible. Try to take the picture in the same place, with the same subjects and even the same outfits. Once you have taken the picture, make a diptych and post ONE image of both the old picture and the modern recreation. If you are still confused, take a look at Irina Werning's amazing art project Back to the Future. That should give you a sense of what we are looking for.
Prize(s): 1 winner of a Sprocket Rocket. The winner will also receive a special award badge straight to their LomoHomes
Film/Camera Type: Any analogue photo not digitally enhanced or manipulated
Upload Limit: 5 photos
Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 768px in either width or height.
Meta data must be completed (camera, film, location & 3 tags)
By submitting your photos to this rumble, you allow Lomography.com to use your submitted photos for promotional purposes.

Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.
Have you been eying up the beautiful Lomo’Instant Sanremo Edition? Well, now’s the time to place your order! You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
What’s not to love about the Lomo LC-Wide? If you are a fan of wide angle lenses or Lomography, you probably have one in your collection. The LC-Wide is a powerful camera with many fun features to get creative when shooting. Best of all, all these are already built into the camera.
I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!
Who says you can't take your Fisheye Camera underwater? Sure you can - as long as you have the Fisheye Submarine Case with you! To demonstrate, check out these fun Fisheye snaps (using Fisheye Cameras and the Fisheye Submarine Case) taken by Lomographers!
Have you been waiting for a good time to load up on films for all your treasured analogue cameras? The time has come with our stunning Advent deal of the day!
