Kodak and the Resurgence of Film

Late last year, Kodak re-introduced Portra, one of its most popular emulsions. Scott DiSabato, US marketing manager for Professional film at Kodak talks to the British Journal of Photography about the film and analogue in general!

For those people who keep on insisting that film is dead, well we’ve got news for you! Late last year, Kodak reintroduced Portra, one of its most popular (and my personal favorite) film emulsions. To celebrate the occasion and to talk more about its innovations, Scott DiSabato, US marketing manager for Professional film at Kodak, chatted with the British Journal of Photography where they proudly state that there is a real resurgence of film. DiSabato was even quoted as saying this is the best film Kodak has ever made. Now those are bold and fighting words! Read up on the whole conversation and tell us your thoughts!

'Aniki-Bòbò': A Tribute to Manoel De Oliveira

This article is a tribute to the great Portuguese film director Manoel de Oliveira, who died last April 2.
