does the background matter? should it be a plain/white background?

  9. gabysalas
    gabysalas ·

@ All, please just Diana Clones, no Minis.... Also, the background doesn't have to be white, but the less busy, the better!

Is it 5 piggies per picture submitted or just 5 piggies total for all 10?

  12. gabysalas
    gabysalas ·

@sthomas68 its 5 piggies total, regardless of how many pictures you submit, but remember, in order to get the 5 piggies, your picture must be in the format we requested.

when we know who have the piggies?

  32. xxxanderrr
    xxxanderrr ·

    @gabysalas :
to be honest, the format isn't THAT clear.
    - landscape format, which means the picture must've been taken with 35mm film? So does that put any 120mm film out of the "correct format" ?
    - the background - it is not specifically stated that the background should be white; hence, are any backgrounds allowed to be labeled "correct" ?

  33. gabysalas
    gabysalas ·

@xxxanderrr: I apologize if the image and wording was not clear. Our intention was to have the diagram (a rectangular horizontal image, with a person in the middle, holding the camera) be enough. Because the diagram shows a rectangular image, we would assume people would not submit square images. As for the background, it does not in fact need to be white to qualify. Any background will do.

  37. xxxanderrr
    xxxanderrr ·

so, just because my picture was taken on 120 film and not 35mm, it doesn't fit the format?

    "Remember:
    * Film/Camera Type: Any analogue photo not digitally enhanced or manipulated."

read: ANY analogue photo. That includes all formats by definition.

please understand my confusion: you ask us to show off our Diana clones, you ask us to show our love for the Diana cameras, yet you claim that a picture taken with a film format that is in the very nature of the Diana cameras is not WORTHY of this???

  38. gabysalas
    gabysalas ·

@xxxander: I guess that was my mistake. I am sorry. The whole point of this rumble was to make you guys a cool surprise, but we needed the pictures in the pictured format... Sorry about that. Obviously we do not think the Diana F+ is not worthy, we Love Diana, as a matter of fact, the whole competition is an ode to her!

    An Interview with Mary Robinson

Mary Robinson has shown a natural talent for photography even at such an early age. Even when she was first featured on the Magazine in 2011, her images already made an impression on the Lomography Community. Her work has evolved in the span of four years, but its quaint beauty remains.
