Welcome all again to pan_dre’s emulsion weekly. Having become a big Sensia fan over the last months I’d like to take some time to have a closer look at the complete Fuji Sensia line here:

Fuji Sensia 100

A classic emulsion, that probably finds it’s a way into every Lomographers camera bag sooner or later. Maybe not as crazily red as the Mr. Velvia, but make no mistake about which color your Sensia 100 shots are going to yields once you get them back from the lab. It’s all about those blueish red’s!

Fuji Sensia 200

As we move up the ASA ladder and take a quick stop at 200, we can notice that colors are less redish but lean more to the green side of the spectrum. A lot 200 ASA carry the burdon of not being as fine grained as 100 and not as fast as 400 films but with it’s very destinctive look Sensia’s middle child should not be overlooked at all.

Fuji Sensia 400

Fuji’s prime Sensia emulsion and also my favourite when it comes to this series is the 400 variant. Not only does it give you the opportunity to shoot under not so perfect light conditions (definitly a plus in Austria ;)) but mostly I really dig its appeal. Where the 200 was still a bit in between a green and velvish tone, this one goes green all the way.

Yeah, the Sensia is a cool film family! I have a great stock of expired Sennsias 200 (from 2003-2005) and they're really great and really "radioactive greenish" when x-processed! :))

Are these the effects you get when the film is expired or cross-processed? Or both?

    Registering Moments With the Lomo'Instant

Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
