Color Gel Wallet

8

Here's a quick tipster about another way to carry your color gels without that teeny, tiny little envelope!

Don’t you get irritated that you have to pull out all of your color gels and shuffle them around to see which one you want to use? I certainly did, it was one of the biggest annoyances with using the Diana F+ flash. So that’s why, I made my own color gel wallet.

You’ll need:
Paper, hopefully a little bit sturdy
Wide ribbon
Scissors
Double-sided tape
Your color gels
Pens/colored pencils (optional)

First, cut your paper to about 4 1/2 by 7 inches or so.

And then, fold the bottom portion (wide side up), leaving about an inch of so at the top.

Third, fold that in half long-ways.

Then grab some ribbon and measure it out with your paper the long way and cut two strips:
one from one end to the other,
and the other one from one side to the halfway point.

After that, put small pieces of the double-sided tape on the back of the ribbon, leaving spaces in between that are a smidgen bigger than the width of your color gels.

When you’ve attached both pieces of ribbon, slide all your color gels into the small slots.

After that, you can close it back up and slide the whole thing into your pocket!

And if you like, you can decorate the outside :)

Hopefully this itty bitty tipster has helped you a little with getting organized!
