Bthere, the Inflight Magazine of Brussels Airlines, has recently paid homage to our analogue love Lomography! Check out what they had to say after the jump!
Bthere Magazine has been trusted with the task of entertaining weary travelers to and from Brussels and they’ve just featured something that’s sure to keep you on the edge of your seat! They delve into the history of Lomography and how it plays a part in Austria’s business community.
Here’s an excerpt from Lomography PR manager Corrina Bauer:
“We believe in an analogue future in a digital age. All our employees are true Lomographers. We are continually developing new cameras to enable greater experimentation and creativity, while providing an online platform where Lomographers can share their creations, thoughts and ideas. We will never stop proving the future is analogue.”
Just how amazing is the New Russar+ Lens? Recently, our friends took it out for a ride and we were captivated with what they came up with - a super-cool time lapse video with eye-popping colors and crystal-clear details, they come to life! See for yourself; check out the video after the cut!
Are you ready for an adrenaline rush? A little while ago, we teamed up with the snowboard and film-making collective Yougofirst and gave them a LomoKino and some film rolls to play with. After a season of crazy riding, jumps and tricks, they have finished their latest movie HETEROTOPIA which features footage shot with our 35mm movie-maker. We had the chance to catch up with Vid and Matic from the collective about the new movie and their experiences shooting analogue on the slopes. It's also our pleasure to showcase the movie here!
Juno Chen is a student and photography enthusiast from California who captured stunning views of HongKong recently. Check out our interview with Juno and his amazing Petzval night shots after the jump.
The LomoChrome Purple is famous for giving photographs a surreal and otherworldly vibe, but in this featured album, one of our community members had actually created imaginary worlds using this emulsion. Check out the photos after the cut!
In celebration of the mindblowing solar eclipse we had the other day, we ran a competition and asked you to tag your analogue photos centered around our great big yellow friend! Check out the winners now!
Photographer Brigette Bloom's series "Float On" and her rather unusual film soak recipe has been making the rounds in the Internet recently. But just in case you haven't seen it yet, Brigette has given us the green light to republish her recipe right here in the magazine's Tipster section! As she has so rightly put it, "Let’s all support each other and spread the creative energy!" Check out Brigette's tipster right after the cut!
Celebrated artist Pablo Picasso had his brush with photography when he was still alive, both in front of the camera and behind it. Find out the details of an ongoing exhibit featuring his photographic work after the jump.
I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!
Lily & Madeleine are sisters from Indianapolis who have charmed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with their heavenly harmonies. They are just about to release their new album titled "Fumes." Lomography caught up with them on a recent trip to the United Kingdom and gave them each a La Sardina camera to shoot with. Meet them after the jump.
