Magic Fountain of Montjuic

1

I must say I have a bit of poor luck with this attraction. My friends and I planned to go to this magic fountain on our first evening, however, before the performance started we decided to grab a meal and go back. Then here comes the pouring rain, getting lost around the back streets, very quiet place... etc etc. all those frustrating moments. We cannot go back to see the performance on time. Argh... Can you believe our luck? Raining our first evening, when we wish to enjoy the sunshine that London doesn't have.

Argh… Can you believe our luck? Raining our first evening, when we wish to enjoy the sunshine that London doesn’t have.

Anyhow, we did manage to see the performance the following evening, wowed so many times, lovely performance with the music as the background. With my only Lomo camera – fisheye no2, when the battery for the flash gone dead… and with my digital camera battery gone dead too!! I decided to take risk taking a lot of random shots without flash, having “I don’t care what comes out, at least I took something just in case” attitude. So I turned the “B” mode on, hold the shutter for around 10 seconds or plus. Took random fountain/stair snaps I could bare, even better if you can find a stable place to put your camera. Snapping at different location of the stairs and the creepy park, I managed to take some creepy pictures on the stairs.

My advice on this location would well be any random shots, with no flash lights especially when you get nearer to the fountain.

    Registering Moments With the Lomo'Instant

Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.

    An Afternoon in Tagaytay Highlands

I have good memories of Tagaytay Highlands. There had been times when some of my friends and I would spend the weekend there, playing all sorts of sports and having our bodies healed in the warm and lapping jacuzzi pool. But those were distant memories. I was able to go back to this place, but only for an afternoon, and tried to remember the good old days.

The World, According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.
