My boyfriend and I took an impromptu road trip to Portland and experienced first hand some of the things that make Portland great: beer, Voodoo donuts, vintage shopping, but mainly just a laid back vibe and uniqueness that epitomizes the city.
While I love travelling to exotic new locations, I also have a special spot in my heart for the good ol’ classic road trip. This past summer my boyfriend and I decided to drive down to Portland, OR on a whim, a place neither of us had ever gone to, but were both curious about.
My boyfriend instantly fell in love with Portland, but it took me a little bit longer to warm up to the city; “little” being the operative word. Between the amazing vintage shopping, beer sampling, and great food (Clyde Common and Voodoo donuts both deserve a shout out) I started imagining what it would be like to live in this city.
I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have, or I guess, not as many turned out as I had hoped, but the photos I did take sum up the trip while showcasing some of the aesthetic quality I liked about Portland: laid back and industrial all at the same time.
