The Big Obukhovsky Bridge is the newest bridge across the Neva River in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Its interesting design makes it very distinct and an interesting subject for my new batch of lomographs.
It is located on the border of Nevsky district and Vsevolzhsky district of the Leningrad Region. This bridge over the Neva River is one of the longest in Russia. It is also the only bridge across the Neva which is not a drawbridge.
The full length of the bridge passage is 2824 m, including 382 m long main span and ramps while the height of the main span is 30 meters.
New York is full of interesting people. Everywhere you look you, will find good-looking, smart, and powerful characters; models, actresses, entrepreneurs, managers, artists. Because of this sometimes it can be a little intimidating for a regular guy in the Big Apple to step up, talk to the girl you like, or make new friends. So here are a few tips, courtesy of the Lomo'Instant, that will help you to break the ice.
A freelance music designer with a strong penchant for analog photography, David Elalouf has been sharing his wonderful photographs in the community for 10 years now. Let's welcome our newest LomoGuru from Paris, France, dudizm!

The premium New Petzval Lens allows you to set your subject against a soft, beautiful background of bokeh. But how about making the bokeh even more interesting by using shapes? Simply use the special aperture plates exclusively made for the Petzval and have fun!
The New Petzval Lens is not only known for its elegant brass exterior, but most importantly for the swirly bokeh effect it can bring to photographs. It makes a great portrait lens and performs exceptionally when taking photos of subjects against textured or lit backgrounds, day or night. And it does all these, in wet or dry weather; in any season – winter, spring, summer, or fall.
I want to share with you my experience with some slides when I was in Russia. I'm very sorry for them because I messed them up. They're just ruined and they'll never be the same! But hey, I have thousands of them, so I guess it's not a big deal after all.
We asked some of New York’s hottest designers to lend their talent in designing some of our La Sardina DIY cameras, and we are very excited to share with you Verena's work. Verena is an illustrator and graphic designer who has contributed to the site for '40 Days of Dating' and so much more.
