Vienna

3

Last October I was in Vienna. The city is amazingly beautiful. There is a lot to see and lots of great places to photograph. And, to make it even better, there is a huge Lomo Store where I bought a Rollei B&W Single Use for my mom. She did some nice shots with it.

Visiting Vienna was always a dream of mine, and last October I got the chance to make that happen. Too bad it was really quick – I only stayed there for three days. Still, I got to see lots of fun places – like Lomo Store – and fun stuff.

Yummy places, like Naschmakt…
(even though I don’t eat pork)
Places with awesome architecture…
And, my favorites, places full of history…

One great example is the Hofburg Palace. There you can see how a myth is born. And, also, get a quick lesson on the history of Austria and specially, the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Just walk through the halls of Sisi Museum and let yourself dive into the magical aura of the most famous Empress who ever lived.

At the Funfair with my Horizon Perfekt

Every year my city Como hosts, for the Easter period, a great fun fair. This is a great occasion to test a camera, to make experiments with films, to have fun and to photograph people while also having fun! This year, I used my gem, the wonderful Horizon Perfekt (that I bought from the Lomography Online Shop) loaded with a timeless film, a Kodak Tri-X 400 developed, as usually for b/w, by myself. Fresh from the Lab: One Roll of Film and the Lubitel 166U

Adi, Ekeu, and I did a lomowalk around downtown Bandung last Saturday, the beginning of November. We planned to use our Lubitel cameras with only one roll of film each. We were inspired by the One Roll of Film Project by four Tokyo-based photographers with their Hasselblad cameras. This is about the one roll of film I shot with the Lubitel 166U, which made me love shooting in medium format even more.

Lomography Day Trips: A Three-Day Bicycle Route Across Italy and Switzerland

I live in the North of Italy, near the border with Switzerland. I love to cycle in Swiss territory, because their car traffic is lower than in Italy and because there are nice bicycle paths free of cars and motorbikes. In this article I'll show you a nice three-day bicycle path that I cycled last summer. Take a look after the jump!

Transient Living: Getting to Know the Neighborhood in Denver, Colorado

Editor's Note: The past several years saw Maliha frequently moving from one place to another, a sort of nomad who likes the thrill of starting anew and finding her place in every city she stays at. In the last decade she has spent in the USA, Maliha has stayed at six different cities in five different states. Currently, Maliha is based in Denver, Colorado, and "Transient Living," a new series in the Lomography magazine, documents her experiences and the ways that she has come to call this city her home.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.

    Changing Seasons: Durham in Autumn

Durham is a beautiful but tiny university city in the north of England famous for its amazing cathedral, which is one of Britain's best loved buildings. When I was studying at the university, I loved to go for crisp, autumnal walks around the cathedral and the river, kicking the leaves and basking in the golden glow of the season. The Lomography Redscale film perfectly captures the beauty of this time of year.
