Which places would you recommend to visit in London or your city in just three days? This is the question I had to ask myself last summer when my boyfriend and a friend came over to visit me. Not an easy decision.
Last summer, I spent 6 weeks in London, studying English and taking lots of pictures! I was also lucky to join a workshop at London´s Lomography shop.
After three weeks there, my boyfriend and a friend came to visit me and I wanted to take them to the most significant places in the city.
I know there are many places that are also important (or even more important), but my friend had already visited London and he complained about the places I had planned to visit, so I had to change the plans and think of alternative destinations.
The first day we spent the whole day in Camden Town. I thought we couldn´t stop visiting it because it´s one of the most famous markets in the world, with “open-air and indoor markets, each with its own distinctive flavour” (http://www.camdenlock.net/).
The next day was Saturday and we woke up very late…so I decided to take them to Greenwich. We caught a boat next to the London Eye, which took us to Greenwich in less than half an hour and enjoyed the views and the main monuments of the city.
Once in Greenwich, we visited the Meridian, had a snack, and took some pictures.
Sunday was the last day for them. I planned to take them to the city centre but they insisted on feeding the ducks and swans in Kensington Garden…and that´s what we did. I thought it was very funny that they preferred to do this rather than visiting any other interesting places. But what is even more funny is that they bought the most expensive bread they found in the shop, because, as they said, “they deserve the best”. My friends are crazy!
