Lis Na Ree Resort

I would like to introduce the Lis Na Ree resorts to the people who plan to overnight in Cherating, Kuantan. The reason why I like this resort so much is because it is very close to the beach. Besides that, it also has a goat farm right in front of the hotel, I feel like I'm back in the nature! Just love the feeling of this resort.

I would like to introduce the Lis Na Ree resorts to the people who plan to overnight in Cherating, Kuantan. The reason why I like this resort so much is because it is very close to the beach. Besides that, it also has a goat farm right in front of the hotel, I feel like I’m back in the nature! Just love the feeling of this resort.

When you first step into the hotel, the local workers welcome you with the warmest smile. The accommodation fees for the hotel are also very cheap and it is very suitable for a group traveling or family trip. The resorts have all the basic facilities such as air conditioning, direct dial telephone, refrigeration, hot/cold running water, shower, 220 volts energy. Besides that, it also has conference, function room, banquet hall/ball room, credit card facilities, car rental/limousine service, laundry service.

The beach and sea are very close to the hotel which is approximately 5 minutes walk from there. On the other hand, if you stay on the first floor of the resort, you can have a room with sea view. In the morning and evening, you can just walk to the goat farm to pat some goats there. The owner of the farm is friendly and kind. He is willing to answer every question that you ask and is very happy if someone visits the farm. From the Kuantan town it is just approximately 45 minutes drive and there are signs along the way to the hotel. This hotel is a budget type of accommodation.

Fresh from the LomoLab: My Summer at a Campsite

I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Have a look after the jump!

    A Compilation of Lomo'Instant Stories

There are many possible reasons for taking pictures. It could be to document an event, to capture breathtaking scenery, to preserve a fond memory, or simply, to have a snapshot of someone close to your heart. Whatever the reason, there's almost always a story behind a picture, no matter how significant or trivial it may be. And for lomographers, nothing beats the feeling of having that story unfold in your hand, in the form of a print. If you want a quick keepsake from that treasured moment or a snapshot of that special someone though, you can have it instantly, through Lomo'Instant Stories!

12 Months, 12 Projects: July - Freelensing Fun

My 2015 resolution is to do 12 photography projects, one for every month. In July, I tried freelensing or unscrewing the lens from my SLR and holding it in front of the camera body. By tilting the lens slightly I was able to change the focus. For this experiment, I used my Konstruktor and Olympus OM-1.

Touring the Tropics with The New Lomo'Instant Havana

Cuban culture inspired the new edition of Lomo’Instant. Like Havana’s color blocks, the new camera has an aquamarine shell. It also comes with Fisheye, Portrait and Close-Up lenses—all to celebrate the spectrum of delights in this summer locale.

Lomography Fisheye No.2: Seven Years of Wonder

Exactly seven years ago, I bought this camera from Indonesia's local Lomography community. I remember having some savings in my bank account and just spending it all on this camera. At that time, I browsed the microsite for the Lomography Fisheye No.2 and immediately fell in love with it! Coincidentally, my friend who introduced me to Lomography just bought this same camera for his birthday. My life has changed ever since I had the Fisheye, my first lomographic camera.

    Finally, My Own Petzval Lens

In April of this year I had the chance to test the Petzval Lens and to write a review on it for the German photography forum Kwerfeldein. The lens excited me from the very beginning, at the time it was introduced on Kickstarter. I was afraid that once I had tested the lens, I would want to have one of my own! Well, that’s what happened; a year later, I finally bought my very own Petzval lens.

    My Lomo’Instant Quick Tips

I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!

Skate Photographer Joe Brook Shoots with the Petzval Lens

Joe Brook is one of the most popular photographers in the West Coast skate scene, shooting for magazines like Trasher, Juxtapoz, Rolling Stone, and different outlets such as PDN and Kodak. Having previous experience with an old Petzval lens mounted on a 4x5 camera, it was but natural for him to try the new one. Brook talks about finding himself, his work, and shooting with the Lomograhy Petzval Lens in this exclusive interview.

My New York City Bike Ride Through Purple Eyes

What do you do when you don't have much time in a city like New York but you want to see everything, feel the vibe and be part of the community, even for a short time? Jump on a bike and enjoy what trains, buses and cabs can never give you: be part of the city. Take a camera with you to capture the moments and sights you don't want to forget. I did this with my LC-A 120 and LomoChrome Purple film.

    5 City vs. Nature Scenes

Jungle, home, haven. The same words may apply to both city and nature. Though different they are linked. The city takes after the colors of flowers and animals; people mold their neighborhoods after the shapes of nature. Other similarities are accidental: the fun bit.
