Blind Date with Fate @ Lomography Gallery Store Central London

9

This isn't speed dating... in fact, it's the opposite! We want you to spend some quality time with one of our cameras and see for yourself if it's a match made in heaven.

Come and meet your true love! (photo by adi-totp)

Come in store on Thursday, February 24th at 6pm and randomly pick out a camera from the box and you get to go on a super date with it all weekend! Thats right… ALL WEEKEND!

This is it, the moment of truth!

Cross your fingers and meet your date!

See who you’ll get to spend all weekend with by picking out a slip from our box. On it could be one of the following cameras: an Actionsampler flash, a DianaF+ with Flash, a Sprocket Rocket with Flash, an LC-A+, a Lubitel166+ or even the elusive Horizon Kompakt!

Imagine the possibilities:

You could be cuddling up to a sweet DianaF+…

Sleeping together on the first date? Don’t worry, we won’t judge you!

Going on long walks with the LC-A+…

Holding hands while walking…

Romantic lunches with the Lubitel 166+…

Cosy cafe lunches.

Candid conversations and good company with the Actionasampler flash…

Shooting the breeze.

You’ll be inseparable… you’ll even take the Sprocket Rocket to work!

Joined at the hip.

Or you can let the Horizon blow you away!

True love panoramic style!

So, who knows, there could be a shotgun wedding by the end of it. In that case… we’ll even give you a 10% discount voucher as a present!

Please book in advance as we have limited spaces! Ring us 02074341466 or pop in store to book a spot.

Tickets are £15 and include a presentation & introduction to your camera date, the camera loan for four days (Feb 24th-28th), a roll of film, 20% discounts on extra film purchases and 10% discount on film processing. Please only bring a valid ID (drivers license, passport, credit card).

    Vintage Snapshots of Outdoor Playtime

Some city-based parents feel wistful when they see their kids huddled in front of screens. There is nostalgia for tree climbing, hopscotch and bicycling. And why must children of today spend all their free time playing with zeroes and ones? This black and white gallery will inspire you to get the little ones out and about even just for the weekend.

A Collection Of Awesome Konstruktor Snapshots

There's nothing more satisfying than taking fantastic photos with a camera that you built yourself. If you've always wanted to impress your friends with your mad DIY skills, pick up a Konstruktor Camera Kit and show them what you've got! It's also a cool way to get them into Lomography, because as you build the camera you'll discover how analogue photography works. Oh, and the Konstruktor takes gorgeous photos, too - check out the gallery and see what we mean!

    Registering Moments With the Lomo'Instant

Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.

Valeriie Liin and The Cameras She Brings

There are things that artist Valeriie Liin can't leave the house without: her earphones, two notebooks, keys to her home in Taiwan, and a little color palette for painting. It's not always that she can paint, though, so for those times she turns to her cameras.

The World According to Herr Willie: Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

Singapore, like Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, is a likely stopover when you fly far. The city is a tiny urbanized hub but it's very favorable if you know some high-spirited locals. I was lucky to hook up with king kimbo (@hakimbo), who showed me around. He took my lame limbs to the Gardens by the Bay, an amazing place which was visually striking. I was hugging some artificial trees there when I found a baby—a very big baby.
