Tell me who doesn't like water? Or maybe swimming? Everyone in the world once in the lifetime goes for a swim, so did I and my friends. Of course it wasn't first time for us but still we had a very good time. If in the other life I would need to choose what kind of animal would I like to be, then I would choose to be a fish.

This is a beach where there used to be a town, so if you like diving under the water you can even find buildings. Kaunas Lagoon comparing to the natural rivers or seas is pretty young but it already has a huge history. When going for a swim don’t forget to take a Frogeye camera, all other cameras can be used on the sand in the beach. In Lithuania only summers are hot, so you should come here with your friends or family for a swim in summer. Don’t forget to take beer or fish and meat which you can grill on the fire. The photos have been taken on July 6th and that was my birthday. Usually I prefer to have a party at home, but this year I decided to make a party by the water. It’s pretty sad that the film ended too soon, because I can’t show you how we played poker on the table which was placed in the water. Later in the evening we got out of the water and stayed on the beach. Ah, and the best thing is that the beaches belong to the government, so you can stay where ever you want.
I wasn't very impressed when the LomoChrome Purple was first released. At least not so much that I wanted to get my hands on it at once. Of course I liked some pictures but eventually, I wanted to test it and what can I say? It was love at first sight!
Where do I begin? Believe me, I know many places in Bandung. From a cozy cafe to where the famous street food and maybe even drinks can be found, to places for lomowalks, it would be my pleasure to show you all around Bandung - the city I love and the city of love!
In April of this year I had the chance to test the Petzval Lens and to write a review on it for the German photography forum Kwerfeldein. The lens excited me from the very beginning, at the time it was introduced on Kickstarter. I was afraid that once I had tested the lens, I would want to have one of my own! Well, that’s what happened; a year later, I finally bought my very own Petzval lens.
About two years ago or so, I purchased the Lomography Redscale XR 50-200. I saved just one roll of this film and waited for the right moment to shoot with it. In April this year, I just wasn't able to take it anymore! I loaded this film into my Lubitel 166+, which I realized I hadn't used for maybe about six months. One idea came to mind: taking crazy multiple exposures!
It's time to take your Fisheye One or Fisheye No.2 Camera out for a swim! But make sure that it's encased in its swimsuit - the Fisheye Submarine Case. This transparent case allows you to take photos 20m (65 ft) beneath the water surface! See the gallery below to see some cool photos taken by your fellow Lomographers!
I would like to tell you about the Zhuzhalka. Zhuzhalka is the slag waste that remains after coal mining. But in this story, in our case, we have another meaning for this word. Here, the Zhuzhalka is a Ukrainian group of young photographers. These photos are by artists from Donetsk city in eastern Ukraine. The name of the project was influenced by the geographic specialization of Donetsk.
We are always hunting for creative ideas on how to open up new shooting possibilities and it doesn’t get any better than when we discover something simple which works like a charm right away. Recently, the idea was raised that perhaps the Diana+ Splitzer would be compatible with the Lomo’Instant – Lo and behold, it is!
Of course, Italy makes a great destination for taking photos. But what if there was a place where you could find stunning motifs, impressive colors, and the ideal mixture of nature and arts all at once? What if I told you that there is a place like that: a garden full of art in the middle of nowhere?
I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Have a look after the jump!
It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.
