Hong Kong, one of the most beautiful skyline in this planet! I, together with my fellow Lomographers had visited to this country last few months. And I still never forget their daily walk-of-life and cultures. We’ve been there for about a week. One thing for sure, I have to really thanks again to one of our friend who has became our special tour guide on the entire journeys. He is one of the Lomographer from Hong Kong and also my favorite Lomographer, ever. His nick is minghui. Cheers! And now, I would like to share the most important place that every visitor must go if you really want to learn and discover deeply about Hong Kong history.
That time was our 2nd day trip & we had visited to this historical place so called Hong Kong Heritage Museum. It just took us for about 5 to 10 minutes walked from the MTR Che Kung Temple station. The museum is located in New Territories of Man Lam Road, Sha Tin. The weather was very hot (a good day for Lomographer) because it was a summer season. But the atmosphere was totally changed once we’ve stepped into the museum. Of course the air-cons had calmed us down. Not only that, the huge building that took from ground to second floors were automatically telling us “It’s time to Lomo again!” Why? Because we were not born in 70’s, 60’s 50’s or even less. Every past has become reality in front of you! Just imagine that again, why the museum is very important for us. We took this opportunity to study and learn more about Hong Kong while we were just kept pressing our shutter cameras there. It’s all about the Chinese history, traditions, peoples, cultures, arts, customs, opera, antique and before/after Hong Kong.
All of the materials were made perfectly by the professionals. Everything looks real and alive! Some of the certain area had inspiring me back my grandma’s old house and the ambient were supported by the oldies musical. Even-though, you will see the very first-made train of Hong Kong if you keep walking. Just walk through the train and feel the environment. Relax and think about your old school bus here. The good memory will brings you a smile. After that, we had split-up in the middle of our journey. Tell you what, the most amazing part was the Chinese opera. It spent us for about half hour just finding the angles to shoot the fake Chinese lady who is sitting in front of the mirror. Somehow rather, we took 2 to 3 hours to finish the walks around this museum. In the end, some of us has finished for about 2 roll of films.
If you are visiting Hong Kong next time, I’m sure you will not forget some of the famous places such as Disneyland and etc. But make sure you will not also to forget this museum, Hong Kong Heritage Museum seems there has so many museums available for tourism in this beautiful country. Interesting? Just click here to view the official website – (http://www.heritagemuseum.gov.hk/) I’m pretty sure you’ll never lost your way in Hong Kong.
